Good Wednesday morning. It was a roaster out there yesterday with temps hitting 100 degrees across much of SNE! The hottest June day ever recorded for Boston with an official high of 102 degrees in the city! Today will be "cooler" but temps still in the low-mid 90s across SNE. Upper 70s, 80s across Northern New England. Dew points still in the upper 60s, low 70s across much of the region but 50s across NNE as drier air is expected.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening across Southern NH, Southern ME, Southern VT into SNE. These will be scattered so not everyone will see a storm but they could contain some torrential rain, lightning. A few strong wind gusts are possible but most look non-severe. We cool things down Thursday with some scattered showers and temps cooling down! A chilly weekend looking possible with more rain in the cards! I will have a seperate post out this evening with more details. Stay cool out there today and keep your eyes on the sky this afternoon-evening
