Good evening! An active Friday is ahead folks. A cold front tomorrow with some upper level energy will be moving into New England on Friday. Not a bad setup at all for heavy downpours to pop up after 12 PM right through the evening as the cold front moves east. The severe parameters are low tomorrow but the heavy rain threat within these storms will likely drop pockets of 2 to 2.5" in rain in spots across Eastern SNE into Southern NH, Maine. We can't rule out an isolated storm within the heavy downpours that could contain 40 MPH gusts but the biggest threat tomorrow will be intense pockets of downpours with some lightning and hail across eastern New England. We may see quite a bit of hail reports as we have a cold atmosphere above our heads so any heavy downpour will have that chance to drop some pea size hail. Do not focus on the exact spots on that rainfall map as location will not be spot. After 9 PM the heavy pop up downpours, isolated storm will be fading away but between 12 PM-9 PM will be quite active folks across Eastern New England! Highs in the 60s across NNE tomorrow and 70s to the south. Same deal on Saturday and 70s across all of the region on Sunday. A few scattered showers across NNE Saturday, otherwise dry. Stay weather aware on Friday! We will keep you updated!
