Good Monday morning. Happy first day of Fall! We start today off with plenty of sunshine and temps in the 70s across the region. A scattered evening shower possible across northern VT. Clouds are expected to increase tonight especially across the interior. Tuesday will feature highs in the low 70s across NNE and near 80 across SNE. The rest of the week will generally feature temps in the upper 60s, low-mid 70s with lows warming back up into the 50s and some 60s!

UNSETTLED WITH RAIN AT TIMES THIS WEEK

We need the rain badly especially up across Northern New England. Some good news this week as it has trended wetter. Tuesday will feature showers mainly across VT, NH, into Western ME with a few scattered showers making their way into Southern New England. Rainfall totals between 0.25" of 0.50" across much of VT, central, northern NH, into Western ME with under 0.10" across SNE on Tuesday. By Tuesday night the showers will taper off as they move offshore but a secondary development of some steady rain looks possible across SNE into Southern VT, Southern NH late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Half an inch of rain looks possible with some locally higher amounts in spots. Models still a bit iffy with how widespread the steady rain will be Tuesday night into Wednesday AM but by Midday Wednesday the steady rain looks to taper off with a few  scattered showers on Wednesday.

STEADY RAIN THURSDAY- A steady round of rain will be moving into New England Wednesday night into Thursday. This looks to be an all day rain as rain advances north througth the day on Thursday before tapering off by late Thursday evening. Leftover scattered showers look likely on Friday. The heaviest rain on Thursday looks to be across SNE with 1-2" of rain. Half an inch or so into Central New Engand. This will not be a drought busting rain across NNE but any rain is welcomed! The weekend looks much drier with highs in the 60s and 70s. An early look at next week keeps us dry through the week. Quite an unsettled week ahead this week but we could certainly use the rain!
