Good Friday morning! A winter storm is moving in today across the region but we are already tracking a much more impactful storm for Sunday night into Monday folks....

I have been talking about a potential major coastal storm for Sunday night-Monday over the last few days. The GFS and Canadian have been locked in on a major nor'easter over the last few days for Southeastern Southern New England while the Euro was further east with minimal impacts. Well folks, the Euro has made a major shift west yesterday evening into the overnight hours! This is major. The ensemble members have been trending west as well and closer to that 40/70 benchmark which is the sweet spot for major nor'easters to impact Southern New England

It's time to start paying attention.

Confidence is increasing for a major impact Nor'easter across Southeastern Southern New England Sunday night into Monday! The main threats will be damaging winds with wind gusts "potentially" near 65-75 MPH especially on the cape and islands. Power outages, Heavy snow with totals of over a foot, and significant coastal flooding for the north facing beaches. We are not in an astronomical high tide cycle but we would absolutely see some coastal flooding with this if we continue to see these trends continue into today

Impacts unlikely across central and northern New England right now. We need to see how far west this will trend but the trend is for the Euro and Canadian to trend closer to the Gfs today! Stay tuned to our Instagram and Facebook story for the most frequent updates! This is going to have major impacts for areas

STAY TUNED!
