HISTORIC BLIZZARD BRINGS OVER 30" OF SNOW TO SE SNE WITH MAJOR POWER OUTAGES!

The blizzard of 2026 brought a historic amount of snow to Southeast Southern New England with 30-36" of snow! Providence, Rhode Island smashed their daily snow record with 37.9" of snow! That smashed the blizzard of 78 totals which was 28.6"! 


 

This storm will go into the record books as one of the most memorable storms for this area. Power outages are widespread from this and will take a week or longer to fully restore! The storm dropped to 966 millibars and tracked right near the benchmark! Our forecast from Saturday was overall very good with the highest snowfall totals and damage in SE SNE! I hope everyone is ok and fully recovers
