Good Wednesday evening! A big swing in the weather! We started off the week with temps in the 60s and 70s. For tomorrow, (Thursday) we start off with temps near 60 across Southern New England! A few hours later they drop into the low 40s! Upper 20s, low 30s across NNE! A strong cold front incoming! Showers expected mainly across SNE through the afternoon with some upslope snow showers across the mountains. An inch or two across the summits mainly across the Green Mountains. By the evening on Thursday we will see a band of snow make it's way east across SNE as temps drop into the low-mid 60s. A change to snow showers between 6 PM-midnight. Not much snow as only a coating to an inch will fall bit temps will fall into the upper 20s on Thursday night! Any untreated surfaces will be slippery on Thursday evening into Friday morning before temps make it into the low 40s, mid 30s on Friday. 25-35+ MPH wind gusts expected on Thursday will bring some issues to the ski mountains
A clipper system is expected for Friday evening into Saturday AM with some lingering upslope snow through the day Saturday. We are looking at a 1-3 to 3-5" type of event mainly for the mountains but it looks like Maine even near the coast especially Mid-Coast into the Down-east area could see a few inches Friday night!
A snowfall map will be out Thursday evening! I will keep you posted
