Sunshine in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday before more widespread rain on Friday into Saturday
05/07/2025
Good evening everyone. What a dreary few days it has been! Some positive news for Wednesday and Thursday. We have some sunshine on the way with much warmer temperatures! Tomorrow (Wednesday) I am expecting a mix of sun and clouds with some scattered rain showers in the afternoon and evening especially across the interior. Highs expected to be in the 60s to low 70s across New England with that sunshine helping to warm things up! Future radar below shows those scattered showers mainly in the afternoon tomorrow but not a big deal compared to the last few days. For Thursday we will see highs in the 50s across Northern New England and in the upper 60s to low 70s near the coast and across Southern New England. The most sunshine on Thursday will be across those areas that see the warmer temps with just a few scattered showers. More rain likely for Friday into Saturday but i will have more details as we get more clarity over the next few days. Looks chilly on Friday with highs only in the 40s!…
Happy Friday. A warm day for many with scattered thunderstorms this afternoon-evening
05/02/2025
Good Friday morning. Our overnight rain will continue to move northeast this morning and move out of much of New England by 10 AM. Showers are expected to linger across Maine until the early to mid afternoon across central and northern Maine. Highs today will be warm although remaining much cooler across Maine with highs in the 50s with that lingering rain and cloud cover. Temps in the 70s across VT into much of NH away from northern NH. Upper 70s to near the low 80s across SNE just away from the south coast where temps will be in the 60s. Dew points will be up in the upper 50s to low and mid 60s today so you will feel that humidity! Sunshine is expected to break out by the late morning to early afternoon today across VT, NH into SNE. The sunshine will build some instability and fuel some thunderstorms across NY, VT, NH, into SNE. Timeframe from 2-9 PM with storms making it to the coast by 6-8 PM. Again, these storms will be scattered so not everyone will see a…
Happy May! Here is what you can expect today with a look at Friday
05/01/2025
Good morning! Welcome to May! The months are flying by and May has arrived. We will be kicking off the new month with temperatures in the 60s to low 70s across the interior. A seabreeze along the coast through downeast Maine will keep temps in the upper 50s to low 60s today with winds off the ocean gusting to 15-20 MPH this afternoon with that seabreeze. Mostly sunny skies today for May 1st. A round of rain is expected tonight with under 0.25" expected but the bulk will move out by Friday morning with scattered downpours, storms Friday afternoon. Clouds will remain stubburn Friday morning but breaks of sun likely by late morning into the afternoon which will fuel those scattered storms during the 2 PM to 10 PM timeframe on Friday. Not everyone will see a storm. Most should remain non-severe but i can't rule out a few severe storms. Highs Friday stuck in the 50s across Maine but in the upper 60s to upper 70s elsewhere to fuel those storms. This weekend looks…

04/30/2025
Written at 7:50 AM Good Wednesday morning! We are just 1 day away from the start of May! We will end the month of April with temperatures in the 50s across Northern New England and 60s to near the low 70s in spots across Southern New England especially on the south coast. Partly to mostly sunny skies expected today. Winds will be gusty throughout the day with gusts to 30-35 MPH but slowly diminishing through the afternoon hours. A cold night is ahead with lows dropping into the upper 20s, low 30s across VT into much of NH and ME. Widespread frost! Lows across Southern New England falling into the upper 30s, low 40s. Any frost across SNE would be in the Worcester Hills, Berkshires. Plenty of 60s on the way for Thursday with cooler temps along the coast. I will have the daily forecast posted tomorrow
A rainy start to the week with several inches of rain today into Tuesday!
Good Monday morning. As expected, a rainy start to the week has arrived. Today and Tuesday are WET with highs only in the 50s to low 60s. Rain is expected to stick around and while it may not be raining every second, rainfall totals will add up to 1-3" by Wednesday morning. Highest totals across Southern VT, Southern NH into SNE. Wednesday looks a bit drier with some breaks of sunshine expected in between some rain showers and highs in the 60s to near 70s so an improvement. Thursday looks mainly dry as of now but highs only in the upper 40s, low 50s across NNE. Near 70 across SNE. More widespread rain expected to increase Friday with highs stuck in the 40s and 50s across the region and that rain may linger into the weekend. Stay tuned for updates

Here is what you can expect for the weekend! Severe storms Saturday
Good afternoon. This weekend will be unsettled but not a washout! Severe storms are expected for Saturday with the coverage area being more expansive than the storms today. Highs tomorrow rising into the upper 70s to low 80s across SNE. 60s expected for NNE. The problem is our warmfront only makes it up to about central New England. Along that front will form a boundry where a line of storms will likely bubble up across Eastern NY into Central, Southern VT, through NH, across SNE into Maine between 2 pm through 10 PM although i think the bulk of the storm activity will be between 2-6 PM. Just some showers for far NNE. The morning starts off sunny and humid with some light showers across NNE. The main threats tomorrow with these storms will be damaging winds of 60 MPH with small hail and localized flash flooding. Remember, not everyone will see a severe storm and don't focus on the exact placement of these storms on the future radar. You will need to keep a close eye on the…
