Temps on the rise this weekend! 90s next week!
08/08/2025
Good Friday evening. The weekend is here. We have a nice weekend ahead with rising temps. Highs on Saturday will be around the mid 80s across the region. A bit cooler along the coast with highs in the upper 70s. Plenty of sunshine with just a low chance for a quick passing shower Saturday and Sunday. Nothing to worry about. Dew points in the 50s Saturday and rising a bit into the low-mid 60s on Sunday but nothing oppressive. Highs on Sunday rising into the upper 80s to right around 90 degrees across the region! Low-mid 80s along the immediate coastline. Upper 70s across Cape Cod/Islands. Plenty of sunshine out there
What to expect for the rest of the week
08/05/2025
Good Monday evening. It was a very smokey day out there today especially across SNE! Smoke from the canadian wildfires will linger into tonight and thin out through the day tomorrow so not expected to be nearly as bad tomorrow. Highs for the rest of the week will generally be in the upper 70s, to low 80s with a few mid 80s. Dew points the rest of the week in the upper 50s, low 60s so not that bad like we have seen this Summer. A few scattered showers or downpours are expected tomorrow and Wednesday, Thursday across the interior but nothing widespread. Those scattered showers and downpours will be slow moving though so a few areas may pick up a inch or two of rain across Western MA, into VT, and central, Western NH. A mix of sun and clouds outside of those scattered downpours. A big warmup is on the way this weekend and especially next week as upper 80s into the 90s will return with high humidity! Summer is far from over folks! We will keep you updated
A beautiful weekend forecast

Highs tomorrow (Saturday) will be in the 70s across the region. A very nice day with low humidity. Feeling like Fall. Low temps Saturday night in the 50s with a few upper 40s across NNE. Not nearly as chilly as tonight. Highs Sunday will be a bit warmer in the low-mid 80s across the region. Low humidity so another comfortable day with some warmer temps. Lows Sunday night in the mid-upper 50s across the region.
POCKETS OF MAJOR FLASH FLOODING EXPECTED ACROSS NJ, NE PA- MID ATLANTIC ON THURSDAY. SOME FLOODING ACROSS WESTERN SNE
07/30/2025
Good Wednesday evening! Here we go yet again! A surge of heavy rain with torrential downpours is set to impact NJ, NE PA down through the rest of the Mid-Atlantic into SW SNE on Thursday into Thursday night! The Weather Prediction Center has placed much of NJ, Eastern PA in a level 3 out of 4 risk for pockets of MAJOR flash flooding! A slight risk for flash flooding across southern areas of SNE but the highest concern remains across NJ, NE PA! Still can not rule out some pockets of flash flooding across CT, lower Hudson Valley. Please stay weather aware even across those areas! generally an inch to an inch and a half of rain across the rest of SNE away from SW CT. We saw major flash flooding across portions of NJ two weeks ago and I am afraid we will have a repeat on the way Thursday! A very favorable airmass for torrential rainfall in those areas and high precipitable water values will cause major flash flooding in spots! Rain increases Thursday afternoon and will continue intoโ€ฆ
Scattered storms on the way Wednesday with one more hot day across SNE
07/30/2025
Good Tuesday evening. It was hot out there today with temps near 100 across SNE! Another hot day expected tomorrow across SNE with highs in the low to mid 90s. Storm threat not that impressive tomorrow but a few scattered severe storms possible. Mainly between 2-8 PM. A few damaging wind gusts possible but generally a lower threat than the last few events that we have had. Storms that do develop will move out after 8 PM. Big cooldown for Thursday into the weekend
Storms expected Friday afternoon-evening to bring pockets of flooding. Rainy Saturday
Good evening. It has been hot the last few days! We have some severe weather to track for Friday folks. Storms with heavy rain is expected Friday afternoon-evening. Highs Friday are expected to be in the 70s across NNE and low to mid 80s across SNE which is quite a bit cooler than what today was.
Northern lights may be visible tonight
THE NORTHERN LIGHTS MAY BE VISIBLE TONIGHT
More rain this weekend!
Good evening everyone. We have more heavy rain on the way for tomorrow (Saturday). The 11th consecutive Saturday in a row of rain across much of the region. We are looking at 2" of rain across the interior. Timeline below shows widepread rain increasing late tonight and spreading northward into NNE by Saturday morning. Heavy rain is expected to continue through the entire day across NNE especially VT where a widespread 2-2.5" of rain is expected to fall. An inch to an inch and a half of rain across NH, ME with lighter amounts across eastern SNE as the steady rain is expected to end by 11 AM Saturday with just some scattered showers in the afternoon with some breaks of sunshine possible. Highs in the upper 50s, low 60s across NNE tomorrow and in the 60s across SNE. Rain is expected to come to an end by Sunday with highs in the upper 50s across NNE, 60s, across SNE with sunshine breaking out but clouds may be a bit stubburn in the morning to break across NNE. Just a few scattered showersโ€ฆ

Weekend forecast for May 17th-18th. Severe storms on Saturday!
Good evening everyone. The weekend forecast is here! A bit of an unsettled weekend ahead before a chilly week next week! Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected on Saturday across parts of the region. The Storm Prediction Center has placed Upstate NY into through Vermont into Western NH and Western MA into a SLIGHT RISK (Level 2-5) with a 2% tornado risk across that area for tomorrow afternoon, evening! Morning convection may limit this potential but if morning showers, downpours move out by the late morning and sunshine pops out in Western NE then a few cells could very well produce damaging winds and hail with an isolated 2% chance for a tornado. The highest threat in Western New England but some storms may make it to Eastern New England by the late afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies expected for the majority of the day with some breaks of sunshine expected in between those storms which will fuel the atmopshere! Keep a very close eye on the sky especially out that way on Saturday!โ€ฆ
Here is what you can expect for the weekend! Severe storms Saturday
Good afternoon. This weekend will be unsettled but not a washout! Severe storms are expected for Saturday with the coverage area being more expansive than the storms today. Highs tomorrow rising into the upper 70s to low 80s across SNE. 60s expected for NNE. The problem is our warmfront only makes it up to about central New England. Along that front will form a boundry where a line of storms will likely bubble up across Eastern NY into Central, Southern VT, through NH, across SNE into Maine between 2 pm through 10 PM although i think the bulk of the storm activity will be between 2-6 PM. Just some showers for far NNE. The morning starts off sunny and humid with some light showers across NNE. The main threats tomorrow with these storms will be damaging winds of 60 MPH with small hail and localized flash flooding. Remember, not everyone will see a severe storm and don't focus on the exact placement of these storms on the future radar. You will need to keep a close eye on theโ€ฆ
A gorgeous Mother's Day ahead and a sunny start to the upcoming week!
Good Saturday evening. Our rain has finally departed and plenty of sunshine is on the way over the next few days! Mother's Day tomorrow is looking fantastic with full sun expected. A bit on the cooler side with highs only making it into the 50s across NNE. 60s expected across Southern New England with a few spots near 70. A COLD Sunday night ahead with lows falling into the 30s across much of the interior! Watch out for some patchy light frost across the interior. Protect any sensitive outdoor plants! Warming up quickly Monday with highs in the low to mid 70s across much of the region. Cooler across Maine with 60s for a majority of the state. Plenty of sunshine expected. Low's next week only getting down into the 50s. Plenty of low-mid 70s Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday but a bit cooler along the coast Tuesday and Wednesday as temps likely struggle to get above 65 along the coast. More clouds likely around for Wednesday although partly cloudy skies still expected with some scatteredโ€ฆ

Snowstorm outlook map for Sunday-Monday AM!
01/17/2025
Good evening! We continue to be on track for a significant snowstorm Sunday evening into early Monday morning! Models are still in some disagreement as my snowfall maps will be released tomorrow but Iโ€™m taking a blend and going with this map for where I think the HEAVIEST AXIS will be for the highest snow totals! Iโ€™m thinking 6โ€+ of snow is likely across a huge chunk of SNE into Northern New England including all of the NH and Maine coast. Mixing looks to potentially be a problem for areas south of Boston. If this tracks further west like the Canadian has it then mixing will be a problem across Eastern SNE but I am not buying a track that far west with the amount of cold air that will be in place right now. Iโ€™m leaning towards a GFS solution. I believe the Euro is too far east and weak. My confidence for significant totals is lower across central, Northern VT due to a sharp cutoff in precip but temps well below 32 and good snow ratios may get the job done up there. This looksโ€ฆ
