A cooldown has begun with more rain this weekend!

Good Thursday morning. We are cooling things down into the weekend. You can expect highs in the upper 60s, low-mid 70s across the region today. Showers are expected to continue through the morning across CT, RI with scattered showers developing across the rest of the region this afternoon into the evening. More clouds than sun across much of the region. For Friday we are looking at highs only in the 60s for much of the region! The pattern remains unsettled with up and down temps! From 100 degrees to 60s in just a few days. Unreal. Some sun is expected on Friday but an increase in precipitation comes Friday evening-night. Widespread showers are expected Saturday. Nobody should be suprised because it IS the weekend! The heaviest and steadiest rain on Saturday will fall across NNE where an inch to an inch and a half of rain may fall by Saturday evening. Localized 2" possible in spots across NNE. Highs Saturday will only remain in the 50s across a huge chunk of the region! Low-mid 50s…

What you can expect over the next few days. Watching THU for severe storms!

Good Monday evening. The new week is here. We are watching the potential for severe storms across New York in Western New England on Thursday but let's talk about the next two days first. Highs on Tuesday are expected to be in the 60s, low 70s. Not the nicest day with some scattered showers, drizzle around the region. Wednesday will feature highs in the upper 70s, low 80s so quite a bit warmer. I am expecting some steady rain in the morning but that should depart by 10-11 AM with some scattered showers and a spot storm in the afternoon across NNE.

A nice end to the week with some wet weather for the weekend but not a washout!

Good evening. We apologize for the lack of updates over the last week. We had to re submit our app to apple which was quite the process. Let's dig into the forecast for Friday through this weekend! Highs Friday will be in the 70s to near 80 across Southern New England. 60s to near 70 expected across Northern New England. Overall lots of sunshine but some thin smoke expected from the canadian wildfires. Can not rule out a quick spotty shower in the afternoon. More rain is expected for SATURDAY but not a washout this time! The 14th weekend in a row for many with precipiation. We just can't catch a break. Future radar shows showers increasing Friday night from west to east. Light showers expected through the day on Saturday across the region before tapering off by the evening hours on Saturday. This will not be a washout. I am expecting some breaks in the rain and can't rule out a break or two of sunshine especially across far NNE where quite a bit of sunshine may pop out on…

Summer heat arrives Wednesday and Thursday but smoky skies Wednesday

Good Tuesday evening. We have some heat on the way for tomorrow and Thursday. Wildfire smoke from Canada is expected to enter the region tomorrow though. The thickest smoke is expected to be across Northern New England but smoke expected to be across all of New England. Expect a smokey red sunrise before the heaviest smoke tapers off and moves east by the afternoon and evening hours. Highs tomorrow expected to be HOT! Widespread mid to upper 80s across the interior. Highest terrain in the 70s across the mountain peaks. Mid to upper 70s expected along the immediate coast this time of year but baking just inland. Dew points in the 50s so humidity not that bad. No rain is expected. Highs on Thursday expected to be once again in the mid to upper 80s with low to mid 90s expected across interior Southern New England! Dew points in the 60s so it will feel a bit tropical out there. Upper 70s, low 80s along the immediate coast. A few scattered storms are expected across Northern New England…

Here's what to expect for the rest of the week

Good Wednesday morning! We made it to the middle of the week and we have a very nice day ahead today before some rain arrives tomorrow! Highs today in the upper 70s, low 80s! Lots of sunshine with a few clouds bubbling up this afternoon with a very isolated shower possible. Rain increases tonight and yep you guessed it... More showers ahead for Thursday. These will be light though and drop under 0.25". I wouldn't call Thursday a washout as the afternoon-evening look drier as the light showers move on northward. Few breaks of sun Thursday but otherwise mostly cloudy in between the showers. Highs only in the upper 50s, 60s on Thursday but in the 70s across northern Maine with lots of sun across northern Maine as the bulk of the showers will stay south the majority of the day. The sunshine returns Friday with highs in the low to upper 70s. Spot shower.

Memorial Day Weekend forecast

Good Friday evening. Memorial Day Weekend is here. Let's dig into the forecast. Saturday will feature temps only in the mid to upper 40s across NNE. Certainly not the best weekend for outdoor activities as it will be pretty chilly! Highs near 60 across SNE. I am expecting some scattered showers across the region. Not a washout day but other than the scattered showers, skies will remain mostly cloudy with some breaks of sunshine across all of New England on Saturday. Looking ahead to Sunday, we do see temps warm up a bit. Highs in the mid to upper 60s across SNE. 50s expected across NNE. We will see more breaks of sunshine on Sunday but not a full sunny day although more sun than Saturday. Scattered showers out there but not as many as Saturday. Memorial Day itself will feature widespread highs in the mid-upper 60s, low 70s across the region with mostly sunny skies! Enjoy the weekend!

May Nor'easter to deliver heavy rain, gusty winds and even some snow!

Good Wednesday morning. A late season Nor'easter is on the way for Thursday and lingering into Friday. Gusty winds, heavy rain, even some late season high elevation snow expected! Let's talk about the timeline. Rain increases from south to north late this evening through tonight. The heaviest rain won't arrive up across Central, NNE until Thursday afternoon, evening. By Thursday evening rain becomes steady across NNE but SNOW will be breaking out above 3500 feet across the Green Mountains, White Mountains Thursday evening, night. 2-4" of snow can be expected across those higher peaks with Mount Washington cashing in on over half a foot of snow! Vermont women drives into tree in Bennington, Vermont

Oh my gosh! We captured a tree that fell down due to a lightning strike in Bennington, Vermont this evening. Moments later this car inexplicably drove into the tree head on at speed. She ran out quickly but the police and ambulance were called quickly to check on her! Police were given our video we captured. Thankfully she did not appear to be injured! Folks, please always be aware of your surroundings during severe weather events and keep your eyes ON THE ROAD!

A chilly and wet pattern is shaping up!

WOW. Quite the chilly pattern is shaping up for next week into Memorial Day weekend and likely lingering through the last week of May! A "Winter Like" pattern will force troughing over the eastern parts of the country mid to late next week. High temperatures will likely struggle to get above 55 degrees Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week even across Southern New England! Likely under 55 degrees across NNE Monday and Tuesday. 40s may be widespread a few days in a row later next week. FROST likely across the interior later next week! Temperature anomaly's look to be 20 degrees or more below normal late next week! A few models are showing the potential for widespread rain mid to late next week with the potential for some high elevation snow across the peaks of the Green and White mountains! Yes you heard that right. Certainly watching the potential! Memorial Day Weekend looks unsettled with showers likely around the region. Overall I don't see any warm summer like temperatures for…

Good evening everyone. What a dreary few days it has been! Some positive news for Wednesday and Thursday. We have some sunshine on the way with much warmer temperatures! Highs expected to be in the 60s to low 70s across New England with that sunshine helping to warm things up! Future radar below shows those scattered showers mainly in the afternoon tomorrow but not a big deal compared to the last few days. For Thursday we will see highs in the 50s across Northern New England and in the upper 60s to low 70s near the coast and across Southern New England. The most sunshine on Thursday will be across those areas that see the warmer temps with just a few scattered showers. More rain likely for Friday into Saturday but i will have more details as we get more clarity over the next few days. Looks chilly on Friday with highs only in the 40s!…

Happy Friday. A warm day for many with scattered thunderstorms this afternoon-evening

Good Friday morning. Our overnight rain will continue to move northeast this morning and move out of much of New England by 10 AM. Showers are expected to linger across Maine until the early to mid afternoon across central and northern Maine. Highs today will be warm although remaining much cooler across Maine with highs in the 50s with that lingering rain and cloud cover. Temps in the 70s across VT into much of NH away from northern NH. Upper 70s to near the low 80s across SNE just away from the south coast where temps will be in the 60s. Dew points will be up in the upper 50s to low and mid 60s today so you will feel that humidity! Sunshine is expected to break out by the late morning to early afternoon today across VT, NH into SNE. The sunshine will build some instability and fuel some thunderstorms across NY, VT, NH, into SNE. Timeframe from 2-9 PM with storms making it to the coast by 6-8 PM. Happy May! Here is what you can expect today with a look at Friday

Good morning! Welcome to May! The months are flying by and May has arrived. We will be kicking off the new month with temperatures in the 60s to low 70s across the interior. A seabreeze along the coast through downeast Maine will keep temps in the upper 50s to low 60s today with winds off the ocean gusting to 15-20 MPH this afternoon with that seabreeze. Mostly sunny skies today for May 1st. A round of rain is expected tonight with under 0.25" expected but the bulk will move out by Friday morning with scattered downpours, storms Friday afternoon. Clouds will remain stubburn Friday morning but breaks of sun likely by late morning into the afternoon which will fuel those scattered storms during the 2 PM to 10 PM timeframe on Friday. Not everyone will see a storm. Most should remain non-severe but i can't rule out a few severe storms. Highs Friday stuck in the 50s across Maine but in the upper 60s to upper 70s elsewhere to fuel those storms. This weekend looks…
