Good Wednesday morning! Another very hot day today with highs in the upper 80s, low-mid 90s across the region before we cool down to end the week
Good Monday morning. A hot start to the week with plenty of sunshine. Highs in the low to mid 90s across much of the region into Wednesday. A bit cooler along the coast with highs in the upper 80s away from CC/islands. Dew points ranging from the upper 50s to low 60s into Wednesday so not as humid as we have seen this Summer! A cold front swings through Wednesday which will drop temps for Thursday and Friday into the 70s across NNE on Thursday and Friday! Mid to upper 80s across SNE Thursday before dropping down into the low-mid 80s on Friday. A few storms are likely to develop mainly across the interior on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Most look non-severe right now but certainly some torrential downpours which may drop an isolated inch or two of rain in spots across the interior. We will keep you updated on that! Stay hydrated out there with the hot temps
Good Friday evening. The weekend is here. We have a nice weekend ahead with rising temps. Highs on Saturday will be around the mid 80s across the region. Dew points the rest of the week in the upper 50s, low 60s so not that bad like we have seen this Summer. A few scattered showers or downpours are expected tomorrow and Wednesday, Thursday across the interior but nothing widespread. Those scattered showers and downpours will be slow moving though so a few areas may pick up a inch or two of rain across Western MA, into VT, and central, Western NH. A mix of sun and clouds outside of those scattered downpours. A big warmup is on the way this weekend and especially next week as upper 80s into the 90s will return with high humidity! Good evening. Smoky today across the region with air quality being very poor! The smokiest day across NNE so far this year with wildfire smoke from the wildfires across Canada. After the rain departs the clouds will remain stubburn but breaking up by the evening. The humidity also returns tomorrow with dew points back into the low 70s! Not very humid Saturday with dew points coming down into the 50s but creeping back up into the 60s to near 70 Sunday!
Good evening. Severe weather across New England is expected on Sunday! A ripe setup for some solid severe weather is in place across much of the region! The Storm Prediction Center has placed Central NH, Southern ME, Southern VT into Southern New England in a slight risk (Level 2 out of 5) for severe storms on Sunday with a lower threat across far Northern New England tomorrow. Humidity will be on the increase as well as strong wind shear along a front which will help drive storms across these areas tomorrow. Timeframe will be between 12 PM-8 PM Sunday from north to southeast. The short range HRRR has a general idea on timing (see below) as storms start to fire up along a line around 12 PM tomorrow and strenghen as they head into a more favorable airmass for severe weather.
