INCOMING! Here we go again with more snow on the way! What an epic ski day on the way for Sunday away from southern areas. Monday looks awesome as well! Winds not expected to be an issue
A spring snowstorm is on the way for a good chunk of New England for early Sunday AM through Sunday and going into Monday AM across the mountains. Snow moves in late tonight between midnight and 4 AM Sunday. A burst of 1-3" of snow for southern VT, NH away from far southern areas before a flip to rain showers by midday Sunday. Heavy snow is expected to continue through the afternoon across northern Vermont, especially in the mountains into central New Hampshire and into Maine! Forecast totals of 3-5" before a flip to some showers across the southern areas of that 3-5" in VT, NH with 5-8" expected in the northern green mountains. Summits see those higher totals. 8-12" of snow can be expected across the white mountains especially with elevation for those ski resorts up into the Sunday River, Saddleback, Sugarloaf areas by Sunday night, Monday AM! 3-5" for much of Maine with all snow for around the Portland area or just north points north. Most of this accumulation is done by Sunday evening. Snow showers are expected to continue into Monday AM across the mountains with an additional inch or two. I wouldn't be shocked to see snow showers continue through Monday but only a few more additional inches at most. Watching a narrow band of snow Monday evening, Tuesday AM that may deliver a narrow swath of a few inches so stay tuned to our story for more details on that!
This is fantastic news for those NNE ski resorts! Get out there and enjoy the significant snowfall totals and plowable snow up there! Winter isn't over as expected even though I got messages saying it is over two weeks ago. NOPE!
