Good Friday evening. Rain is on the way Saturday especially across Northern New England. Showers are expected to increase late tonight into Saturday morning. Showers and downpours will be moving through NNE through Maine through Saturday morning before slowly becoming less widespread by Saturday late afternoon. A few storms may move through NNE Saturday evening as the bulk of the rain moves out. Rainfall totals are expected to be highest across Maine where a widespread half an inch to an inch and a half will fall especially near the Canadian border. Expect around half an inch of rain for Northern VT, Northern NH. More scattered shower activity is expected across central and especially southern areas of New England on Saturday. Highs on Saturday have warmed up a bit with expected temps in the 70s across VT with the steadiest rain across Northern areas. Temps only in the 50s across Maine into the White Mountains. Near 80 expected across SNE with those scattered showers. Can't rule out a late day storm moving through. We dry out Sunday with highs in the 70s and 80s across the region! Cooler across Northern ME but clouds thinning with mostly sunny skies by Sunday afternoon. Next week is looking warm with upper 70s, 80s and near 90! Monday looks the hottest right now with widespread temps in the 80s to near 90 across New England.
