Good evening. Severe weather across New England is expected on Sunday! A ripe setup for some solid severe weather is in place across much of the region! The Storm Prediction Center has placed Central NH, Southern ME, Southern VT into Southern New England in a slight risk (Level 2 out of 5) for severe storms on Sunday with a lower threat across far Northern New England tomorrow.  Humidity will be on the increase as well as strong wind shear along a front which will help drive storms across these areas tomorrow. Timeframe will be between 12 PM-8 PM Sunday from north to southeast. The short range HRRR has a general idea on timing (see below) as storms start to fire up along a line around 12 PM tomorrow and strenghen as they head into a more favorable airmass for severe weather. We can not rule out a few cells out ahead of the main action. Western Maine may see a few lone cells before the main line. The main threats we are looking at are damaging winds! Hail is also a threat and the typical torrential rain, lightning. Localized flash floooding also possible in spots but the damaging wind threat looks legitimate with some bowing segments possible! We can not rule out a small chance for a brief weak tornado as some short term models are showing a bit of spin up in the atmosphere with those updraft helicity swaths. Again, A very SMALL chance with those damaging winds being the main concern with those storms! Scattered wind gusts 60+ possible. 12-8 PM timeframe here. After 8 PM our storms will be moving offshore of Southern New England. Highs in the 70s, low 80s, across VT, NH, ME and 80s across SNE with dew points in the upper 60s and 70s!

Stay weather aware tomorrow and take shelter when a storm moves in! As always, stay tuned to our Instagram and Facebook story for the most frequent updates.
