Good evening. Summer heat is back! It has been a very nice last few days but that ends tomorrow. Highs expected to be in the mid-upper 80s. Low-mid 90s across Burlington, VT area. Plenty of sunshine out there with dew points creeping up into the mid-upper 60s. By Friday the worst of the heat is focused across Southern New England with widespread highs in the low-mid 90s with even some upper 90s possible across SNE! Dew points in the low 70s will have it feeling like 100-104 degrees! Brutal stuff. We cool down for the weekend a bit with highs in the 80s. Upper 70s, low 80s Sunday. Not very humid Saturday with dew points coming down into the 50s but creeping back up into the 60s to near 70 Sunday!

Scattered severe storms on Friday

We are watching Friday closely. A front will be moving in and with a sharp temp gradient, storms will likely fire up across Northern, Central New England and move their way into a potentially more favorable envirement across SNE in the afternoon-evening. Right now this does not look as wideapread as Sunday but the main threat looks to be the typical damaging winds in any severe storm. Models still quite a bit different from each other so more confidence will be coming in through the day tomorrow. We will have another update on here tomorrow. Meanwhile, get ready for some big heat. Thankfully it won't last several days but it will be hot to end the week! Stay tuned
