Good Thursday evening. A very hot day is expected across SNE on Friday with highs reaching the low-mid 90s across SNE. "Feels like" temps hitting 100-104 degrees across much of SNE before storms roll in!
A severe weather day is expected! A front will be keeping temps in the upper 70s across NNE with some showers through the day. That will keep most of the severe weather south across SNE with a few storms possible across NH, ME, VT but likely non-severe. Southern New England will likely see a line of storms that quickly get their act together by the early-mid afternoon. Not much going on until after 2 PM. Storms will quickly develop between 2-4 PM with those hot temps! A line of storms looks likely to form with damaging winds being the main threat. Along and south of the MA Pike into CT, RI looks to be where a line of storms will get their act together and continue moving south. More scattered storms across northern MA with a line of storms that looks to get established along and south of the MA pike. 3-8 PM looks to be the timeframe here. Again, damaging winds the main threat with some localized flash flooding in there as well and some hail. The line of storms look to be moving offshore of CT, RI, SE MA by 7-8 PM. Not everyone along that line will see damaging winds but likely some pockets of wind damage. Temps will rapidly drop as storms roll through.
