Snowstorm outlook map for Sunday-Monday AM!

Good evening! We continue to be on track for a significant snowstorm Sunday evening into early Monday morning! Models are still in some disagreement as my snowfall maps will be released tomorrow but I’m taking a blend and going with this map for where I think the HEAVIEST AXIS will be for the highest snow totals! I’m thinking 6”+ of snow is likely across a huge chunk of SNE into Northern New England including all of the NH and Maine coast. Mixing looks to potentially be a problem for areas south of Boston. If this tracks further west like the Canadian has it then mixing will be a problem across Eastern SNE but I am not buying a track that far west with the amount of cold air that will be in place right now. I’m leaning towards a GFS solution. I believe the Euro is too far east and weak. My confidence for significant totals is lower across central, Northern VT due to a sharp cutoff in precip but temps well below 32 and good snow ratios may get the job done up there. This looks to be much of Southern New England’s biggest snowstorm this Winter so far. Temps with this look to be COLD. 20s across Eastern New England away from the south coast but look to be in the single digits across the mountains which will help those snow ratios. Timing with this looks to be Sunday late afternoon-evening into early Monday morning!

STAY TUNED to the story for the latest updates as we get more confidence on the expected snowfall totals which will be posted tomorrow!
